C96 GBB Pistol Replica
C96 replica is a pneumatic version of Mauser C96 pistol, which is always associated with WWI. The original is considered as the first successful type of semi-automatic sidearm. The original was made by three brothers in a German Mauser factory and manufactured since 1896, over one million pistols were manufactured in total.
C96 closely imitates all of the details of the live firearm original. The air gun was made mainly from durable polymer. Operating elements such as the trigger, hammer, rear sight or internal elements were made from metal. Mauser is powered by a mounted in the grip CO2 capsule with a capacity of 12 grams. The implemented mechanism allows for firing BBs with a muzzle velocity reaching even 140 m/sec, which allows for accurate and powerful shots at a distance of several dozen meters. This exceptional replica uses a blow-back system imitating the operation of a live firearm during firing. After each shot the slide is pulled back, the hammer gets cocked and a BB is fed from the magazine resulting in the replica being ready to fire another shot. A massive construction with metal parts makes this sidearm durable and comfortable to hold. An exchangeable box magazine can hold 13 steel BBs. The pneumatic pistol is also equipped with a rear sight with a slider, which allows to adjust the replica for firing on various distances, which in turn directly influences the accuracy.
Mauser is equipped with a winged safety, located exactly in the same spot as in the live firearm construction. By turning it off the ability to pull the trigger is enabled and in turn firing a shot. Such solution provides increased safety to both the user and bystanders. When carried, the safety should be switched on, which reduces the risk of an accident and hitting a different than intended target.
The trigger mechanism operates solely in the single action mode, which means that a hammer needs to be cocked prior to firing. In this mode the distance that a trigger has to travel is rather small which reduces the chance for shooter’s error of “jerking” the gun, which in turn greatly influences the accuracy. Reasonable focus of the shot guarantees the implementation of a long barrel.
C96 is something more than just shooting for fun. It is an exceptional offer for all enthusiasts of historical reconstruction. Excellent representation of details of the original construction make Mauser ideal for any kind of rallies or reconstruction events that depict events from WWI or WWII periods. Furthermore, C96 will be exceptional in a display case of any collector of militaria of that period.
